My Dark Beast by Olivia Wildenstein was such a fun mix of fantasy and romance with just the right amount of darkness.

It follows Victoria, who gets pulled into this supernatural world after her sister is murdered, and from there things get wild pretty fast. There’s magic, secrets, and a whole cast of characters you’re never quite sure you can trust. And then there’s Alexi… who is very much giving dark, broody, dangerous love interest energy.

What I liked most was how easy it was to get into. It’s one of those books where you sit down to read a few chapters and suddenly you’re halfway through. The world-building isn’t overwhelming, and the mystery around what’s really going on keeps things interesting.

The romance is definitely a big part of the story—lots of tension, a little bit of angst, and that push-pull dynamic that keeps you hooked. It’s not super deep or heavy, but it’s entertaining and gives you those “just one more chapter” vibes.

If I had one complaint, it’s that some parts felt a little predictable, and I wanted a bit more depth in certain moments. But honestly, it didn’t take away from the overall enjoyment.
