Snowed Inn by Rowan Hunt is the kind of thriller that pulls you in with a simple premise and then keeps turning up the tension. What starts as a seemingly normal getaway quickly becomes something much darker as secrets begin to surface and nothing is quite what it seems.
I really enjoyed how atmospheric this book felt. The isolated setting creates a constant sense of unease, and the snowstorm adds to that trapped, claustrophobic feeling. Hunt does a great job of making you question everyone's motives, and I found myself second-guessing my theories more than once.
The pacing is steady, with enough twists to keep the story moving without feeling over-the-top. While some of the characters aren't particularly likable, that actually worked for me because it added to the tension and uncertainty surrounding the mystery.
