This book is just…comforting in the best way. The Magic of Lemon Drop Pie has that cozy, slightly magical feel that makes you want to curl up with a blanket and something warm to drink.
The story follows Lolly, who’s kind of stuck in life—grieving, unsure of her direction, and carrying a lot of “what ifs.” Then comes the magical twist: a lemon drop pie that gives her the chance to see what her life might’ve looked like if she’d made different choices. From there, the story turns into this mix of self-discovery, second chances, and figuring out what actually makes a life feel meaningful.
What I really liked is how relatable it all feels. That idea of wondering what if I’d chosen differently?—we’ve all been there. And the book explores that without feeling heavy or depressing. It’s more hopeful than anything, even when it gets a little emotional.
It’s not super fast-paced, but that’s kind of the point. It lets you sit with the moments, the choices, and the feelings behind them. And yes, it will probably make you crave pie
