Beautiful Ugly: Alice Feeney

This book was definitely a slow burn. That being said, the twists in the book really did take me by surprise. I felt that the initial storyline set-up was unrealistic, the main character had a few too many issues, and the ending was rushed, but it did not prevent me from finishing it in a day. The island setting was super creepy, as were the townsfolk (only 25 of them) and I didn't see the ending coming. For me, the ending (without any spoilers) left a lot of questions for me...so, I was somewhat confused-maybe it was because so much happened in the final few charters.
