Bed Rot Baby is very much about that “I don’t want to move, don’t want to deal with anything” kind of mood. It’s slow, a little repetitive at times, but I think that’s intentional—it really leans into that feeling of being stuck. You’re not reading it for action or plot twists, you’re reading it for the vibe.
The writing felt really raw and personal, almost like reading someone’s journal. There were moments where I was like… okay, this is hitting a little too close to home. But at the same time, there were parts where it dragged a bit, and I found myself wanting it to move forward just a little more.
I think this is one of those books that really depends on your mood. If you’re in the right headspace, it’ll probably resonate a lot. If not, it might feel kind of slow and heavy.
