This isn’t a sweet romance at all—it’s dark, obsessive, and honestly pretty chaotic. Kade is not your typical love interest. He’s intense, controlling, and at times straight-up unhinged. Stacey isn’t exactly easy either, and together they’re just… messy. Their relationship is built on history, pain, and a whole lot of unresolved feelings, and you really feel that on every page.

What surprised me most was how hooked I got. Even when I was frustrated with them (which was often), I didn’t want to stop reading. It has that kind of pull where you need to know what happens next, even if you’re shaking your head at the characters the whole time.

That said, it’s definitely not for everyone. It leans hard into toxic dynamics and heavy themes, and there were moments where I wished they would just communicate like normal people for once. But at the same time, that chaos is kind of the point—it’s not supposed to be healthy or easy.
