The story follows a group of women brought together on a tropical island, and let's just say things don't exactly go according to plan. The characters are messy in the best way—flawed, complicated, and constantly creating new problems for themselves. I found myself completely invested in all the drama and relationships.

The island setting adds a lot to the story, too. It has that perfect mix of beautiful vacation vibes and underlying tension, where you know something is bound to go wrong. There were plenty of moments that made me laugh, but there were also some surprisingly heartfelt moments mixed in.

This isn't a thriller, even though it has a few twists along the way. It's more of a character-driven story about family, friendship, and figuring out who you are when life doesn't go as planned. If you're looking for a smart, entertaining beach read with plenty of drama, Salty is definitely worth tossing in your beach bag.
