Stephen Graham Jones always does horror a little differently, and The Buffalo Hunter Hunter is no exception. This is the kind of book that blends horror, history, and revenge into something that's creepy, emotional, and impossible to forget.

The story has a dark, unsettling atmosphere from the very beginning, but what really hooked me was the depth beneath the horror. It's not just about monsters and scares—it's also about loss, injustice, and the wounds that history leaves behind.

I'll admit that Jones's writing style isn't always the easiest to fly through, but once I settled into it, I found myself completely invested. The characters felt real, the tension kept building, and there were several moments that genuinely gave me chills.

This isn't a fast-paced popcorn horror novel. It's darker, heavier, and much more thoughtful than that. If you enjoy horror that makes you think as much as it creeps you out, The Buffalo Hunter Hunter is definitely worth picking up.
