The Cliffhanger

I really enjoyed this book. From the first few chapters, I had that feeling that something wasn't quite right, and the tension just kept building from there. The story follows a married couple of thriller writers whose relationship is already hanging by a thread, and when they're forced to spend the summer together in the south of France, things quickly spiral in ways I never expected.

What I liked most was how layered the story was. It's not just a thriller—it's also about ambition, betrayal, and the secrets people keep from the ones they're supposed to love the most. I kept changing my mind about who I could trust, and every time I thought I had it figured out, another twist proved me wrong.

The setting was another highlight for me. The beautiful French backdrop gave the story that perfect "vacation gone wrong" vibe, and the contrast between the gorgeous scenery and everything falling apart behind the scenes made the suspense even better.

The ending was probably my favorite part. I love a thriller that can genuinely surprise me, and this one absolutely did. Everything came together in a way that felt clever without being over the top, and I closed the book wishing I could forget it just so I could experience those twists all over again.

If you enjoy psychological thrillers with messy relationships, unreliable characters, and twists that keep you guessing until the very end, I'd definitely recommend The Cliffhanger. It was tense, addictive, and one of those books that had me saying, "Just one more chapter" way past bedtime.
