A Halloween Party turns deadly, as a thirteen year old girl brags about witnessing a murder.  Being swept up in the Halloween festivities, what she claims is quicky dismissed as just another “trick” for the sake of the party.  Other party goers laugh at Joyce and dismiss the claims she made.  Extremely hurt by the dismissive nature of the other party goers, she leave the party without a work to anyone. Soon the party goers are in for a shock as the basement reveals the lifeless body of Joyce…drowned in a tub of apples ready to be bobbed.  Hercule Poirot must move past the trickery and foolishness of the night, and deal with party going teens…the question is, is he looking for one or two murderers, and can he unmask the killer before he/she strikes again. This was my first Agatha Christie novel, and I enjoyed it much more than I expected.
