This Story Might Save Your Life by Tiffany Crum is one of those books that kind of sneaks up on you. It starts off as a mystery, but it ends up being much more emotional than you expect.

The story follows Benny and Joy, best friends who run a podcast about survival stories. But when Joy suddenly goes missing, everything shifts, and Benny is left trying to figure out what really happened. The story unfolds across different timelines, podcast bits, and excerpts from Joy’s writing, which made it feel really immersive.

What I liked most was the friendship. Benny and Joy feel real—not perfect, not always easy, but solid in a way that makes you care about what happens. It’s definitely more character-driven than action-packed, so if you’re expecting a super fast thriller, this leans more slow-burning.

It does jump around a bit, which can get a little confusing at times, but it also keeps things interesting because you’re constantly putting pieces together. And once it all starts clicking, it’s hard to stop reading.
