Funny You Should Ask

A Hollywood heartthrob, a journalist, one unforgettable weekend, and ten years of unfinished business? Well, this could get interesting!
Chani gets the chance to interview Gabe Parker, a ridiculously handsome movie star, and what should have been a simple interview turns into a weekend neither one can forget. Fast-forward ten years, and they're back together for another interview. Of course, all those old feelings and unanswered questions come creeping back.
I really enjoyed the jumping between past and present. It kept me curious about what actually happened all those years ago. There's plenty of chemistry, awkward moments, and a little Hollywood drama thrown in for good measure.
Now, I will say, there were times I wanted to grab these two by the shoulders and scream, JUST TALK TO EACH OTHER! Seriously, people! A little communication could have saved everyone a whole lot of trouble.
Was it predictable? Yep. Did I roll my eyes a few times? Absolutely. But did I enjoy it anyway? I sure did!
Overall, this was a cute, easy read with a little romance, a little drama, and a whole lot of what-ifs. Nothing earth-shattering, but sometimes you just need a fun book that doesn't require you to solve a murder, uncover a dark family secret, or worry about who's hiding in the basement!
And for someone who usually prefers a few dead bodies with her reading material, this was a nice change of pace!
