I ended up really enjoying Hyde & Seek, it takes the whole Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde idea and turns it into this dark Victorian mystery mixed with Jack the Ripper, and somehow it all works together way better than I expected.

The atmosphere was honestly my favorite part. The streets of Whitechapel feel dirty, tense, and creepy the entire time, and there’s always this feeling that something bad is about to happen. It definitely has that gloomy gothic vibe without feeling overly heavy.

I also liked that Hyde wasn’t written as just a straight-up monster. He’s brutal and unpredictable, but there were moments where I actually found myself rooting for him, which surprised me. Francine was another character I really liked because she was smart, stubborn, and added a good balance to all the darkness.

The story dragged a tiny bit in a few spots, but overall I thought it was a fun, gritty twist on a classic story. If you like gothic mysteries, historical thrillers, or morally messy characters, this one is worth checking out.
