This book is dark, emotional, chaotic, and honestly kind of addictive once it gets going. If you love fantasy with morally gray characters, enemies-to-lovers tension, ancient gods, monsters, and a lot of emotional damage, this one definitely hits the mark.

Dianna was easily my favorite part of the story. She’s fierce, angry, sarcastic, and carrying so much pain that you can’t help but root for her even when she’s making terrible decisions. Her chemistry with Samkiel was SO good too. Their relationship takes its time, which I appreciated, and the tension between them kept me hooked the entire book.

The world-building is huge and there’s a lot going on at times, but once everything starts clicking together, it becomes really hard to put down. There’s action, betrayal, magic, gods, found family moments, and some genuinely emotional scenes mixed in with all the chaos.

I will say the book feels a little long in some spots, and there were moments where I felt the pacing slowed down a bit. But overall, I had a really fun time reading it. By the end, I was fully invested and immediately wanted the next book.

If you like darker romantasy with flawed characters, high stakes, and lots of tension, this is definitely worth picking up.
