Icarus

Icarus completely surprised me. I went in expecting a YA mystery with a little romance, but what I got was a beautifully written story about loneliness, found family, healing, and learning that you deserve more than the life you've been given.

I absolutely loved Icarus and Helios. Their relationship develops slowly, and it never felt rushed. Watching these two broken boys find comfort in each other was easily my favorite part of the book. They both carry so much trauma, but there's also so much hope woven into their story that I couldn't help rooting for them.

The writing is gorgeous without feeling overdone. There were so many lines I wanted to stop and reread because they were just that good. The mix of art theft, family secrets, revenge, and romance kept the story moving, but it's really the characters that make this book unforgettable.

This isn't a fast-paced thriller, so if you're looking for nonstop action, this might not be the book for you. It takes its time, letting you really get to know the characters and their struggles. For me, that slower pace made the emotional moments hit even harder.

Overall, I loved this one. It's emotional, beautifully written, and full of characters you'll be thinking about long after you finish the last page. If you enjoy character-driven stories with a little mystery, a lot of heart, and relationships that feel genuine, Icarus is definitely worth reading.
