It Should Have Been You

This book is not full of fast twists and shock value—it’s more of a slow burn that digs into grief, regret, and the way one moment can completely change everything. The story leans heavily on relationships and buried secrets, and I found myself getting pulled into the characters’ lives pretty quickly.
What stood out most for me was how real it felt. The characters are messy, flawed, and carrying a lot of emotional weight, which made their choices feel believable—even when they frustrated me. The tension builds gradually, and instead of huge dramatic reveals, you get these smaller moments that land hard because they feel personal.
It’s the kind of thriller that makes you pause and think about “what ifs” and missed chances. Dark in places, emotional in others, and definitely one that sticks with you after you finish.
