She Is Gone

She Is Gone by Ben Cheetham.  I came across this book while searching for a different one by this author and I was pleasantly surprised.  This is a very fast paced book, and had a twist I did not see in the end.  Butterfly is the only survivor of the brutal murder of her entire family.  She manages to escape, but her family perishes, she is only a child.  Moving forward 10 years, Butterfly is now married to a cop, had her first child, but still cannot remember what happened to her as a child or why she has a strange butterfly tattoo on her face. Does she search through stored boxes for clues, or does she return to the scene of the crime…this story will keep you guessing.  This says it is the third book in a series, but I think it could be a stand-alone…but I am going to go and read the other two.
