Oh, this one had me stressed in the best possible way.

Poe Webb hosts a podcast where people anonymously confess the worst things they’ve ever done. Creepy enough, right? Then one of her guests sits down and claims he murdered her mother. Yeah…that will get your attention.

I loved the whole setup of this book. The podcast angle made it feel modern and unsettling, and Poe is exactly the kind of complicated character I like. She has secrets of her own, makes some questionable choices, and there were definitely moments when I wanted to yell, “Poe, WHAT are you doing?!”

The story kept twisting just when I thought I had things figured out. Some parts were completely messed up, some made me suspicious of everybody, and the deeper Poe dug, the more I needed to know what had actually happened.

It’s dark, twisty, fast-paced, and just disturbing enough without being over-the-top. Basically, my kind of thriller.
