The Astrology House by Carinn Jade.  This book is a multi-pov thriller that is set at an astrological retreat.  This was a quick read, and where I didn’t feel the characters were all that likable, the secrets they all hid helped me get over that part of the book.  The lives of the guests and owner are deeply intertwined, but not apparent until the end.  The secrets of each of the guests are slowly revealed throughout the book, and the lines between relationships become very blurry as you progress.  The underlying question of fate and free will are a constant throughout the story, and once you think you have it figured out, the question arises again.  I found the end of the book rushed, and way too many things were wrapped up…but there is a shocking conclusion that I did not see coming. I did appreciate the amount of research Jade did into astrology as it made the character of Rini (the host of the retreat) very believable.  This, Jade’s first novel, was a good debut, so I would read her next book.
