The Fear

Okay, this one was creepy in the best possible way.

It starts with what seems like a stupid little trend—people sharing their biggest fears online. Harmless, right? Until students start dying in ways that match the exact fears they posted. Suddenly, it isn’t funny anymore.

Izzy quickly realizes someone is taking these confessions and turning them into something terrifyingly real. And of course, everyone has secrets, everyone looks suspicious, and I spent a good portion of this book changing my mind about who I trusted.

This was a fast, easy read that kept me flipping pages because I needed to know who was behind everything. Natasha Preston does a great job creating that paranoid feeling where you start side-eyeing every character. Just when I thought I had figured it out, something would happen that made me question everything again.

And that ending?! Yeah... Natasha Preston apparently enjoys leaving her readers emotionally damaged. 😂

Creepy deaths, secrets, paranoia, twists, and that constant feeling that something bad is about to happen. The Fear was exactly the kind of dark YA thriller I can fly through in one sitting.

Definitely a fun one for spooky season. 🎃🔪📚

Would I recommend it? Absolutely—especially if you like quick, twisty thrillers that keep you guessing until the end.
