This was such an interesting read! It has a little bit of everything—sci-fi, supernatural abilities, romance, danger, and a whole lot of people just trying to figure out where they belong.

The story centers on Kendle, who works at the Warehouse, a school for Wild kids born with abilities they can’t always control. Society is basically terrified of them, and without the Warehouse, many of these kids would end up locked away and heavily medicated. Kendle knows exactly what that feels like, so she'll fight anyone who gets between her and protecting them.

Then Stephen shows up.

He’s a Bred—genetically designed, privileged, polished, and pretty much everything Kendle doesn't trust. Naturally, putting them together makes things interesting.

I really liked the whole Wild vs. Bred idea and how the book explored what happens when society decides certain people are acceptable and others aren't. There are definitely some X-Men vibes here, but the story still manages to have its own personality. I also loved that underneath all the supernatural stuff, this is really a story about prejudice, found family, protecting people who need you, and realizing that sometimes your first impression of someone is completely wrong.

Kendle was probably my favorite part. She's stubborn, messy, protective, and definitely not perfect—which made me like her even more. The romance was nice without completely taking over the story, and there were enough funny moments mixed into the heavier ones to keep things from becoming too serious.

There were a few places where I wanted a little more depth and a few things I wish had been explored longer, but overall, I had a really good time with this one.

Strange powers, genetically perfect people, forbidden-ish romance, kids who can accidentally destroy things with their minds, and a school barely holding everything together?

Yep. I'm in. 😂
